five(9)s Console was released on Nov 17th, 2023.
Version 4.8 introduces new enhancements and some additional features to further improve and simplify your user experience.
What's new?
Home – EPM EBA Infos
The new Ivanti EPM (Endpoint Management) EBA (Engine Based Agent) Infos is now here to better identify devices with the new Agent. This feature not only handles EBA and regular Agents but ensures that ComputerInfo displays EBA Info. Moreover, QuickInfos now provide an insight into the Agent History, making device management more efficient.
Admin – Personal Access Token rework
With Personal Access Tokens (PATs), you have the power to use external scripts to interact with our software and streamline your workflow. Whether you want to access specific functions or automate tasks, PATs provide you with the tools to do so seamlessly.
- You can easily set expiration dates.
- Regenerate or copy tokens at your convenience.
- Specify which API methods are accessible.
General – PowerShell API Module
Our latest update brings forth a PowerShell API Module that is designed to simplify tasks and automation.
The PowerShell API Module adds Intellisense capabilities in PowerShell ISE, offering descriptions for parameters and methods. The well-documented module only needs to be imported as it is shipped with the Console. It helps you to write short, understandable code due to most logic being encapsulated within the Module file.
Other improvements:
Home – Device selection
We've added a feature that saves your chosen devices of your computer search. While switching between Home, OSD, and SWD sites it will remember your selection.
Advanced Patch – Reboot Needed on Client
In our ongoing commitment to improving user experience, we've made it easier to identify client devices that require a reboot. Previously, you could only see pending reboots on servers. However, with 4.8, a new tile has been added to the dashboard to help you quickly identify client devices that need a reboot.
Various improvements
- Admin - Subpage navigation now highlights current location.
- Admin - Central Search server edit dialog updated.
- Home - Custom Button Layout is now more responsive.
- Enhanced computer search performance with OS filters.
- Improved TaskLog performance for color highlighting to errors and warnings.
- Added line breaks to MyActivities - Show Log function.
- Customizable colors for top navigation icons.
- Improved stability.
- Minor bug fixes.
