Problem:
When starting Remote Control in Browser (five(9)s Console or Ivantis WebConsole), the connection is not working.
Solution:
In Order to get remotecontrol from the Webbrowser (five(9)sConsole and Ivanti WebConsole) running, it is required to publish a LANDESK server certificate "LANDesk_..." to the "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" Store of the Device you like to START RemoteControl from the Web.
Step by Step Guide:
1.) Find the Certificate on the Core Server
2.) Export the Certificate
Or find the existing file in e.g. "C:\Program Files\LANDesk\Shared Files\keys" as mentioned in the Ivanti Docs:
https://hub.ivanti.com/s/article/Pre-Trusting-the-LANDesk-Certificates?language=en_US
3.) Import it on all Computers that like to start RC using Browser to the "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" Store
This can be done by
- internal CA
- AD logon Script
- Group Policy
- Custom Patch
- Software Distribution
- ...
