Search devices via Custom Inventory

Explanation

An optional way to find devices beside searching for the hostname can be done with our CustomInventory.

It is helpful to group devices outside of the Ivanti Scopes or Console PatchGroup to organize your work.

This can help to find, identify and manage your devices. Or assist with deploying Operating Systems or Software.

Step overview

1. Create a new CustomInventory e.g. ComputerGroup (Input, Searchable)
2. Assign values to the CI for devices
3. Search with the filter on the Home site

Prerequisites

A Custom Inventory needs to be created by an admin.

Menu Admin - Custom Inventory - click "Add Custom Inventory"

The settings in the screenshot ensure that the users can input their own groups.
