How to Adding a device

Adding devices to the EPM Core can be a time consuming task since each device takes a few seconds to be created. Adding them via the five9s Console can save time because of improved input validation and inbuilt queue.

Validation

Serial Number, MAC Address and Hostname must be unique in your system.

Status: Choose in dropdown list between different status.
Hostname: Made up of alphanumeric characters ranging from "a – z" and "0 – 9" and the special character "–" and needs a length of at least one character to a maximum of 61 characters. Additionally, a new hostname is not allowed to contain a "!", "," or " ".
MAC Address: Made up of 12 alphanumeric characters ranging from a – z and 0 – 9. A MAC Address is not allowed to contain a "!", "-" or " ".
Serial Number: Made up of any characters except "<".

After clicking the “Create” button, devices will be added in a queue and will be added one after another.

Furthermore, you have to possibility to add multiple devices using a download template on the second tab.
