Adding multiple devices to the EPM Core can be a time consuming task since each device takes a few seconds to be created. Adding them via the five9s Console can save time because of improved input validation and inbuilt queue.
Validation
Serial Number, MAC Address and Hostname must also be unique in your system.
- Still the same requirements as you add an single device (like Serialnumber, MAC and so on)
First you have to download the current Template and fill in all the neccessary informations like "Status, Serialnumber, etc.
You can also open the template csv in Excel
Now you can copy and paste all the neccessary Information from an other source (like electronic delivery Information from the vendor like DELL, HP or others.
Keep the structure in mind as well as the used types of each value.
Here you can find helpfull hints about formats and validations.
After you have prepared the csv file, click "Datei auswählen" or "select file" (it depends on the given browser language) to upload them.
After uploading your csv, a validation will start. You will see each error with a description to identify the error. (possible MAC already exist, or status not allowed, etc.)
When all the information in the CSV file is correct, each line will be added to the system and you will receive an email confirming that the device was successfully added.
