Mail Templates for Console Processes

Modified on Wed, 10 May 2023 at 01:27 PM

Mail Templates can be used for notifications in five(9)s Console Processes. It's possible to change the templates to align them with your Corporate Design or one adds additional information like a ticket reference.

Locations

Mail Templates are located in folder:
C:\inetpub\wwwroot\five9sWS\MailTemplates

Custom changes will remain.
We may update the Mail Templates from time to time, but we will not overwrite already customized templates.
Most current Templates will be copied to:
C:\inetpub\wwwroot\five9sWS\
MailTemplates\latest

Placeholders

Include Files

Placeholder allow to use a single file for the header and footer with a customer logo and text only.
The header and footer files can then be included in each separate mail template. This will improve maintenance for mail templates since fewer files have to be edited.
Placeholders (%placeholder%) can also be used inside the header or footer files.
  • %IncludeFile:Includes\Header.html%
  • %IncludeFile:Includes\Footer.html%

Remarks

Because of security reasons, the included files should be copied to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\five9sWS\MailTemplates\ folder or in a corresponding sub folder

Console Process Parameters

Each Console Process has parameters that are important for it to work. Those can be used in the Mail Templates e.g.:
  • [Parameter:DeviceName]

You can find a list of supported Parameters in the config file for the corresponding Console Process:
C:\inetpub\wwwroot\five9sWS\ConsoleProcess\configs\P01StatusChange.json

Custom Inventory Placeholder

For  Operating System Deployment Mail Templates you can also use Custom Inventory Data for your templates:
  • [CI:Primary Department]
