How to search devices based on a list of names or serialnumbers

Target is to search and find a group of devices they are provided in a device list from an csv or in an email or something else...

This was the request: Check OS Provisioningstate for the following 8 Devices (based on serialnumber)

So, now we can copy and paste one serialnumber after the other into the five(9)s Console Searchfield and check the OS Provisioningstate.

==> laborious (umständlich und mühsam)

Or we can use our fabulous feature: Find Computers By List

In this case: first switch from Name to Serial in the filter dropdown

You can now copy all of the content via copy and paste into the Searchbox

and click "Search for computer"

We can see: there are 8 Computers found in the inventory

and we see also 4 Computers (lines) couldnt found. (you can imagine why :-) )

But it can be also possible, there is an typo in one of the serialnumbers. You will inform.

At least: click the Button: Use Computers and close

Now you have exacly the 8 devices you are looking for in the list.

And in this example we can select the first device and select Prov. History and check each device very fast and without additional typos...
